The ARUA Centre of Excellence for Unemployment and Skills Development, in Partnership with the University of Nairobi School of Business and the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurship Centre of the University of Iowa, United States, presents the 2nd Train-The-Trainer Program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Mentorship Education
Certification (EIMEC) in the capital city of Nairobi. 

EIMEC is strategically designed to empower the various Faculty Members that will be involved to create awareness and impart skills for job creation in their respective disciplines hence facilitate the University in creating a  sustainable and impactful entrepreneurship oriented University in Kenya and Africa.

Expected Learning Outcome

After the 3TCBP, selected Faculty Members would have empowered to:

(i) Set up interesting entrepreneurship education programs for the various disciplines in the University of Nairobi

(ii) Set up competitions among students with a view to deepening their entrepreneurial interest and intentions

(iii) Set up entrepreneurship acceleration programs where potential start-ups are identified and supported during incubation until fully developed.

(iv) Assist students of the University of Nairobi with desirable entrepreneurial skills for self-reliance to fight poverty and unemployment in Kenya

(v) Bridge the knowledge gap between theory and practice about entrepreneurship and business development in Kenya

Duration

Faculty Members, during the 3TCBP, will cover 20 Modules of interesting topics over 120 hours, which will be divided into 96 contact hours and 24 hours remote learning and Team Work.

Facilitators
Facilitators shall comprise of seasoned academic who are professionals in the knowledge of entrepreneurship and Innovation home and abroad; blended with the mixture of astute successful entrepreneurs and innovation enablers as well as venture capitalists in Kenya and our partners abroad who are well experienced in entrepreneurship education and practice for creating self-sufficiency mindset that will result into jobs creation that will resolve the lingering youth unemployment in Africa..
