JAEESD is the official peer-reviewed journal of the ARUA Centre of Excellence for Unemployment and Skills Development (ARUA-USD, CoE), published at the University of Lagos. It is the flagship publication channel for cutting-edge research on Africa's youth unemployment crisis and evidence-based entrepreneurship interventions.
The journal publishes original research articles, review papers, policy analyses, and case studies across the full spectrum of employment, entrepreneurship, skills development, and economic inclusion — with a specific focus on the African context and actionable policy implications.
FUTUREWISE — Research Reports
FUTUREWISE is a research and policy initiative exploring how African youth can be best prepared for the world of work. These landmark reports synthesise stakeholder voices, expert analysis, and evidence-based recommendations.

We invite original, unpublished research articles from academics across all ARUA member universities and beyond. Submissions are free, peer-reviewed, and published open-access.

2Format your submissionMicrosoft Word or PDF. Include title, abstract (250 words max), keywords, author bio, and full references in APA format.
